On the 19th of April, two members of the team (Ioana and Ana-Maria) went to Slătioara to meet Mr. Liviu Niță (Manager at Slătioara Pit) and to film a documentary on the technological process which takes place at the site. The girls also met Mrs. Cristina Alexie (Headmaster of Slătioara School) and had the opportunity to interact with the gymnasium pupils.

The trip ended with a stroll along the Olt river, where they saw many birds, including the great cormorant, who will be the main subject of the photography lessons and competition planned for the students. The next step of the project is preparing educational materials (video and print), which will support classroom and field activities prepared for the pupils in Slătioara, Glina and Bucharest. We’ll be back with news on our progress! Fingers crossed for our team!
